Below are a list of and brief explanation for each of our teaching and learning technologies available to you at the School of Dentistry. Click on the title for each section to learn more about the solution.

Zoom

Zoom is our premier teleconferencing software. With Zoom, teleconferencing is a breeze whether you're holding/attending office hours, meeting with a patient, attending/hosting a class, recording a lecture, or setting up a meeting, Zoom can do it.

MiVideo (Kaltura)

MiVideo, powered by Kaltura is University of Michigan's video streaming site.

You can upload your videos and easily share them with your students and others via Canvas or a link. You can also record videos here as well. School of Dentistry staff will also find access to their classroom sessions recorded through our Lecture Capture system here.

Canvas

Canvas is our LMS (Learning Management System). It's designed to organize courses to track and enhance student learning. Here you can organize content, videos, assessments, and other resources that leverage students learning.

iClicker Cloud

iClicker Cloud is a classroom response system that allows students opportunities to answer questions in real-time using their mobile device or computers.

iPad

Almost every student has received an Apple iPad pre-installed with various apps, Apple Smart Keyboard case, and Apple Pencil.

MiDent (axiUm)

MiDent is our Electronic Health Record (EHR) and prescription system. There are two separate programs: TRAIN and LIVE. Train is designed for practicing and LIVE is used for real patients.
